Our History on the Island
Hawaiian Ice Company was established on May 1st, 1998, when two respected companies, Pacific Diamond Ice and Hawaiian Ice, joined forces to form the largest ice manufacturer and distributor on Oahu.
The merger brought together four long-time owners: Sean Martin, Jim Cook, Marshall Joy, and Eddie Onouye, who formed JEMS Enterprises, LLC, named after their initials. This partnership marked a major step in building a unified and efficient ice supply operation for the island.
Since then, Hawaiian Ice Company has grown to serve a wide range of customers, from local restaurants and retailers to large-scale events and industrial operations.
